MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT

Every person in the world has mental health, just as we all have physical health; the shift to take care of both your mental and physical health is a journey worth taking. Making the decision to seek therapy is the first step on the journey, please reach out if you have questions on how therapy may be beneficial to you or your family.

Please see some common areas of practice below.

I believe that the constants in life are the peaks and valleys in it. To manage the ongoing changes day to day therapy is a wonderful tool to address the concerns affecting you as an individual. I work with a trauma informed-client centered perspective to work with you on finding therapy skills that work for your day to day life.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a treatable mental health condition that can affect anyone impacted by trauma. I use evidence based practices including EMDR and TF CBT to help individuals decrease the impact that PTSD has on their daily living.

ANXIETY

Worries and stress are not supposed to run your life, if you are finding that day to day stressors are spiraling and impacting your functioning we can work together to address thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with CBT to work through change.

DEPRESSION

If you are finding that day to day sadness and depression are spiraling and impacting your functioning we can work together to address thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with CBT to work through change.

EATING DISORDERS

I am a Health at Every Size (HAES) clinician and trained in Family Based Therapy for Anorexia. Managing recovery from an Eating Disorder can be an isolating journey and you do not have to do this alone. I am available to work with individuals and families on assessment of eating disorder concerns, linkages with a treatment team, and use of individual and family skills to help address the treatment and work towards the recovery of eating disorder behaviors.

LIFE TRANSITIONS

Managing life transitions from changes in schools, moves, and career changes can be an exciting and stressful time. Working together we can address stressors and coping mechanisms to manage changes in your life.

EXPOSURE RESPONSE PREVENTION

Managing OCD can be challenging through ERP therapy individuals and families learn to navigate ways to work on challenging obsessions and compulsions to create a manageable lifestyle.
